By understanding how a person experiences their illness I match their individual signs and symptoms to an appropriate homeopathic remedy. I look at their personal history to see where the illness may have originated from, and any progression over time, and I consider both their personal constitution (how they respond to the environment and life circumstances) and their genetic history by looking at illness in their parents, grandparents and siblings.
